WASHINGTON & BOCA RATON, Fla. - (BUSINESS WIRE) -“The Global
Learning Series” is an education-focused, issue oriented program
distributed to public television stations nationwide in the United
States and globally to Voice of America Television. “The Global
Learning Series” has recently provided another 8 documentaries to
the United States government’s International Broadcasting Bureau,
Voice of America Television.
These documentaries are educational programs that broach diverse
topics like a recently shot story at Duke University concerning some
common side-effects of surgery, the issue of obesity in children and
the “new Physical Education” being taught (shot at a school in
Iowa). They include a compelling story about managing vital
information to prevent and manage breast cancer -- the second
leading cause of death in women (shot at a women’s breast clinic in
upstate New York), a story about the importance of keeping heavy
metals out of the environment by recycling and gastrointestinal
health programming shot at Massachusetts General Hospital.
The next collection of documentaries will include important public
awareness stories ranging from an emotionally compelling look at the
importance of women being checked for cervical cancer as well as
other public service announcement style programming about mysteries
surrounding the brain and the human heart, with a look at migraines
and the need for managing triglycerides.
“We are very honored to partner with the International Broadcasting
Bureau, Voice of America Television by providing these educational
documentaries for some of their programming needs, said John
McGuire, Senior Producer of Programming for “The Global Learning
Series.”
